Health Services

Stetson Health Service, a partnership between Stetson University and Advent Health Medical Group, is the on-campus resource for non-emergency health care needs. The mission of Stetson Health Service (SHS) is to promote optimal health and wellness, disease prevention, and high quality health care that is appropriate, affordable, inclusive, and accessible.  SHS strives to empower students to be self-directed and well informed. SHS provides outpatient primary care, which includes sick/injured office visits, physical exams, sexual health exams for men and women, health and wellness education, limited immunizations, limited on-site testing, specialist referrals, and limited medication dispensing services. The professional staff includes a physician, a certified physician assistant, a registered nurse, a medical assistant and administrative support staff.  All currently enrolled Stetson students and Stetson employees are eligible to receive medical services at SHS. All students are expected to have health insurance. Please see the Immunization Records/Insurance Policy section of this Catalog for more information about student insurance.  Insurance will be billed for services and copays may apply. Appointments are required. All medical information is confidential and may not be released without written permission of the student or according to Florida statutes.
