Graduate Audit Policy
College of Arts and Sciences
Currently enrolled, degree-seeking students who are in good academic standing may audit a class on the recommendation of a faculty member as part of a remediation plan or preparation for professional placements (for example, Clinical Internships) and/or certification exams. The student will not earn a grade or additional academic credit for an audited course. A student may audit only one course in a given semester, but the department Chair has discretion to alter this limit. Audited courses will not count toward the use of student loans, private or federal, and will not fulfill any degree requirements. Under the proposed outline, no additional fee will be charged for auditing.
Individuals not currently enrolled who wish to audit a course must first apply as a non-degree seeking student. If admitted, the student will be charged the University Audit rate as outlined on the tuition and fee website. Audit courses do not earn final grades or academic credit. The student will not earn a grade or additional academic credit for an audited course.
