Advising Course Plan - Studio Art Major - 3 Year Plan
This advising plan shows an example of working through the requirements for the major in three years. It is appropriate for students who have already completed eight units of coursework. The student’s individual academic plan will be developed in consultation with an adviser and reviewed each semester prior to registering for the next semester. This plan assumes that the student has not taken any courses for the major prior to the first semester shown in the plan.
The Studio Arts major requires:
- ARTS 101A, Drawing I
- ARTS 102A, Sculpture I
- ARTS 103A, Painting I
- ARTS 201A, Drawing II
- 3 ARTS units at 200-level or higher
- ARTS 399, Junior Portfolio Review (Offered in Spring semester only; typically at the end of the spring semester prior to taking ARTS 498)
- ARTH 316 Issues in Contemporary Art
- ARTH 325S Art Market and Institutions
- ARTS 498 Senior Project I (includes senior portfolio review)
- ARTS 499 Senior Project II
